What is love? It is one of the most difficult questions. Many people believe love is a sensation that magically generates this great sensation when two people meet. We often mistake love as generally just being romantic and never really appreciating the other kinds of love that do exist. There are different types of love. There are at least THREE different words used in the Scriptures to denote different types of love. However, there are four types of love that MUST be present at the same time in any marriage and love relationship to make a complete marriage.

Agape love is an unconditional love. It loves when all other types of love quit, and cares when there is no apparent reason to care. This love comes from God into a person when they ask Jesus to come into their heart and to be their Lord and Savior.

Phileo love is the kind of love that makes agape love enjoyable. Phileo love is having tender affection toward your mate. Most friendships are built on phileo love. Phileo love is that "something" that you see in another person that draws you to be their friend.

Storge love is a physical show of affection that results from a pure motive. It may be a hug, a kiss, or another expression of genuine affection.

Eros love is the fulfillment of the physical sexual desire that a husband and wife show toward each other. It's when "...the two ...become ONE FLESH" (Matthew 19:5).
Love makes us go crazy; love makes us feel amazing; love is all about expressing and making others content and happy. In feeding the deprived, there is love; in taking care of the sick there is love; in helping the needy, there is love; offering dignity and respect to those who are suppressed is yet another form of love! Loving someone selflessly is all about making them feel good and special; inspiring them to do well in life; support them no matter what!
