I tried to remove you from my thoughts.
I spend days trying to find faults.
I built strength to try to resist your sugary of onslaught.
Your vision I can’t put out of sight.

No matter what I do,
I can’t stop wondering how we could have been.
My days are in a haze; my heart lack of steel.
My lips stitch from professing your esteem.
My nights, however, I get to create a forged realism.

No matter what I do,
I can’t erase you.
I will gather enough courage not to create rue.
Today, with overt sentiments I confess.
No matter what I do
I can not digress.
